In a two-mass flywheel (1) having the second mass (4) made up of two parts (8, 9) located on a bearing (35), the first part (8) has an operative connection with a torsional damping device (5) and the second part (9) has a friction face (6) for a friction clutch. To increase the life of the flywheel (1) the two parts (8, 9) are held spaced apart and are in contact in their radially inner connection region solely through circumferentially distributed axially projecting spacer elements (17), through which connecting elements such as rivets (10) pass to connect the parts (8, 9). Cooling air passages (13) are formed between the first and second parts (8, 9) circumferentially between the spacer elements (17), in order to cool the second part (9) to dissipate heat generated at the friction face (6). The limited region on contact between the parts (8, 9) limits heat flow to the first part (8) and thus to the bearing (35). <IMAGE>
