Method of interconnecting hollow profiles using two profile halves

The system is used to connect profiles end to end when the profiles have at least one hollow space and the cross sections of these spaces are approximately equal. Two connector sections (3, 4) are used, which together have the same contour as the insides of the cross sections of the profiles which are to be connected. The two sections (3, 4) are covered with adhesive and are inserted in the ends of the profiles. An elastomer bellows is first placed between the parts (3, 4). One of the profiles has cut-outs (8) for the air inlet of the bellows. The bellows is inflated to push the sections (3, 4) against the insides of the profiles.
