The impulse turbine (1) is partially recessed into the rear end of the roof of the vehicle on supports (2) with bearings, and screened (4) from head wind under a stabilising cover (3). The construction may resemble that of a roller-shutter with longitudinal slats, or a tube with airscrews. The device can also be mounted in ther locations of intensive air flow such as on the front or underside of the vehicle.
