Mechanical rotating seal consists of a slide ring (1) and counter ring (4), each with a recess (2,5) for an elastic seal ring which, when installed, extends between the recess and a corresp. surface of a machine part. A body (7) joining the two rings to form a unit comprises a radial circumferential elastic projection (9) and the counter ring has circumferential convexity (10) on its inner periphery, the two meshing together to join the rings. Pref. the body is of glass fibre-reinforced plastic and the projection is formed in one piece with the body. |
