<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cam shaft phase variable device which is lightweight, and excellent in operating responsiveness. CONSTITUTION:A device is provided with a planetary gear mechanism 12 and a phase changing mechanism 14. The mechanism 12 is provided with a sun gear 18, a ring gear 20 and a planet gear 22. The changing mechanism 14 is provided with a stepping motor 48, a carrier shaft 50, a carrier 52 and nuts 54. The motor 48 is rotated and operated by an electronic control unit 56 according to the operating state of an internal combustion engine. The carrier shaft 50 put into the helical spline connection is provided on a rotary shaft 62 of the motor 48. The carrier 52 is connected to the carrier shaft 50 by inserting the carrier shaft 50 into an attaching hole 72 and attaching a snap ring 74 to the shaft 50, so as to be rotate and not to be moved in the axial direction. The nuts 54 are fixed on the carrier 52, and screw parts 46 of the planet gear 22 are respectively screwed and connected to respective nuts 54.</p> |
