<p>PURPOSE:To calculate tension and shape without causing damage to a band material and being limited by the quality of material of the band material, while easily conducting complicate arithmetic operation and correction. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of spray nozzles 24 directed toward a band material 12 are disposed at regular intervals to the upper horizontal piece 22a of a support member 22 holding the travelling path of the band material 12. Displacement sensors 32 are arranged at places opposed to each spray nozzle 24 while holding the band material 12 to the lower horizontal piece 22b of the support member 22 respectively. The displacement of the band material 12 generated by the spraying of compressed air from the spray nozzles 24 is detected by the displacement sensors 32, and the detecting values are input to a computer 30. Detected values detected by a meandering detecting sensor and a pressure sensor are input to the computer 30, the detecting values of the displacement sensors 32 are corrected in response to the detected values, and tension and shape are calculated on the basis of the correcting values.</p> |
