PURPOSE:To dispense with manual work in dust so as to mechanically carry out labor-saving polishing work healthily in machining by a belt polishing device for wood machining. CONSTITUTION:In a belt polishing device for woodworking, a polishing belt 2 is suspended in the lateral direction of a polishing base which is movable forward/backward, guiding tracks 4a, 4b are arranged along the upper side of the polishing belt 2, a mobile body 5 is guided along the tracks 4a, 4b, a pneumatic cylinder device 6 is fixed vertically in the mobile body 5, a piston rod 6a of the pneumatic cylinder device 6 can be extended downward, and a holding member 8 to which a pressing sliding contact tool (k) is fixed is mounted freely reciprocatably at the piston rod 6a tip via a shaft 9 arranged along the polishing belt 2. |
