PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof seal structure obtaining highly reliable waterproofness by a packing made of a thermoplastic elastic resin in order to markedly improve the sealability of electric or communication machineries requiring waterproofness, unnecessary to manually incorporate a housing and a packing molded in a separate process, stable in quality and enhanced in productivity. CONSTITUTION:In a waterproof seal structure consisting of an upper housing 1 having an elastic packing 5 inserted in the packing fitting groove 2 thereof and a lower housing 6 having the press bonding contact part 4 coming into contact with the elastic packing 3 provided thereto through a side wall 5, the elastic packing 3 is inserted in the packing fitting groove 2 in a gap free state without being accompanied by predetermined compression and, when the contact surface 31 of the elastic packing 3 is made flat, the contact surface 41 of the press bonding contact part 4 is brought to a protruding surface. |
