PURPOSE:To provide a laser beam torch device equipped with a safety device which can surely detect contact with a work free from any influence of contact condition, ambient, noise and surely execute ON/OFF of a laser beam oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A signal from an oscillation circuit 15 to oscillate a voltage signal of the prescribed frequency is converted to a current signal by AC amplifier 16 and is supplied to a metal member constituting part of a laser torch 10. A current-voltage converter 17 converts the current signal obtained, when the converter is connected to a work 13 and the metal member is brought into contact with the work, to voltage signal. A band pass filter 18 filters a signal of the prescribed frequency from voltage signal. The signal filtered by the band pass filter is rectified by a rectifier circuit 19 and then an output level of the rectifier circuit is compared to the level set by a comparator 20 beforehand. When an output level of the rectifier circuit is over the level set beforehand, the signal which turns on a laser oscillator, is outputted. |
