The drive shaft (20) has an elastic U-shaped component (34) inserted into an annular groove (32) crosswise to the shaft's axis and positioned between the worm shaft and the roller bearing. The component's segment shaped part, by which the drive shaft is supported axially on the roller bearing's inner ring, protrudes out of the annular groove. The outer ring is held axially on a support shoulder of the unit's housing and facing the component. The component's inner shape matches the shape of the base (40) of the annular groove over at least 190 degrees. The component's width (36) is more than the depth (38) of the annular groove over most of its inner shaped part. |
