A laser module including a semiconductor laser in a housing with a dual lens coupling optical system for light coupling in an optical waveguide, i.e. a single-mode fibre and including an insulator in the optical path between the lens of the optical system and a monitor diode and Peltier effect cooler. To avoid costly adjustment between the laser and the first lens, a silicon carrier (support) plate (2) is provided in the housing, with a first slot or groove (3) provided for receiving the first lens (5) and the insulator (6), with a second slot (groove) (4) in alignment with the first groove (3), and used for accommodating the monitor diode (8). |
