PURPOSE:To achieve the simplification of a dehydration/drying process, the miniaturization of an apparatus, the reduction of power consumption and the enhancement of the quality of a compounded resin in an apparatus dehydrating and drying a moisture-containing raw material before compounding the same with other raw material. CONSTITUTION:In a twin-screw extruder, a dehydration port 3, an additional raw material supply port 5 and a vent port 6 are successively provided in a spaced-apart state between the watercontaining raw material supply port 2 and emitting port 5 provided to the barrel 1 and a throttled part 13 is provided to a twin-screw 11 slightly on the leading end side thereof with respect to the dehydration port 6 provided to the barrel 1 and a kneading part 14 kneading the raw materials supplied from both supply ports 2, 5 is provided between the supply port 5 and the vent port 6. |
