PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition which is satisfactory in lather properties, moist skin feel after drying, etc., and is reduced in skin irritation by mixing a specific amidocarboxylic acid surfactant with a specific water-soluble silk peptide in a given weight proportion. CONSTITUTION:An amidocarboxylic acid surfactant represented by formula I (wherein R<1> is a 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; M is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium, or a cationic residue of a basic amino acid or an alkanolamine; and R<2> is a divalent substituent represented by formula II, III, IV, V, VI, or VII) (e.g. sodium salt of cocoylsarcosine) is mixed with a water-soluble silk peptide represented by formula VIII (wherein R<3> is an amino-acid side chain derived from silk and contained in fibroin peptide; and (n) is 2-50) in a weight ratio of (99:1) to (70-30) to produce a detergent composition. |
