PURPOSE:To produce an olefinic sheet for book binding which is excellent in flexibility and touch and resolves the troubles of greasy surface and surface contamination by adhering a specific resin blend to a substrate sheet then coat ing the surface with a surface-treating agent, subjecting to foaming, embossing and coating with a urethane-treating agent. CONSTITUTION:A substrate sheet of paper, cloth or nonwoven fabric is laminated with a resin composition comprising (A) an ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer, (B) a decomposition type foaming agent such as azobis- isobutyronitrile, (C) a phosphite antioxidant, (D) a phenolic antioxidant and (E) a metal stearate and a lubricant of acrylic processing aid mainly composed of (meth)acrylic esters by the calendering process, then coated with a surface- treating agent such as a (modified) acrylic treating agent, foamed with heat, embossed and coated with a urethane-treating agent to give the objective sheet. |
