PURPOSE:To remarkably enhance the life performance of a battery that uses an antimony-free lead-alloy grid. CONSTITUTION:A lead-acid battery, which uses a substantially antimony-free lead-alloy grid and has an electrolyte specific gravity of 1.24 to 1.38 inclusive when completely charged, is charged. The charging is completed in a charging time represented by T<=71-50s wherein (s) is the electrolyte specific gravity when the battery is fully charged and T is the time (charging time) from the start to the completion of charging.
