PURPOSE:To realize the miniaturization of a decelerator while bearing strength is being secured sufficiently, by providing the bearing boxes of the input shaft side of an input gear shaft to be engaged with a rotary input shaft and the bearing boxes of the input shaft side of an output shaft in displacement axially. CONSTITUTION:The front bearing boxes 8a, 8b, 8c of an initial step gear shaft 2, a rear step gear shaft 4 and an output shaft 6 are respectively fixed at the front 13 of a box body 1, and the rear bearing boxes 10b, 10c of the rear step gear shaft 4 and the output shaft 6 are fixed at a middle ground plate 14 fixed at the inside middle position of the box body 1, and the rear bearing body 10a of the initial step gear shaft 2 is fixed at a rear ground plate 11. At this time, the position of the rear ground plate 11 that fixes the rear bearing box 10a of the initial step gear shaft 2 is shifted axially by means of a spacer 18 in regard to the middle ground plate 14 that fixes the rear bearing box 10b of the rear step gear shaft 4 and the rear bearing box 10c of the output shaft 6, so the respective fellow bearing boxes are not piled up even if the intercore distances of the respective gear shafts approach mutually. As a result, the size of the rear bearing box 10c can be selected freely, and miniaturization can be realized without sacrificing bearing strength.
