<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce output data of a format converter without distortion after an image compression coding image signal is compression-decoded even when a data string is multiplexed on a video signal by limiting a 2nd bit width of the output data of the format converter. CONSTITUTION:A data string whose format is converted into digital data of 4-bit width, for example, by a data format converter 21 is fed to a line block converter 22, in which the data are converted into block-processed digital data. The block-processed digital data from the converter 22 are fed to a data conversion table 23 as an address signal, in which the data are converted into a data transmission block signal. The signal is fed to a data block superimpose circuit 25, in which the signal is multiplexed in a form to be embeded as a block at a proper blank part of an input digital video signal. The multiplexed image signal is fed to an image compression encoder 26, and a rotary magnetic head 8 records a multiplexed modulation image signal of a data transmission block of data such as a VITC signal being an output of the encoder 26.</p> |
