摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to evaluate the voltage-transmittance characteristics of liquid crystals, response speed, orientation abnormality, or contrast, etc., independently from the characteristics of switching transistors by providing signal lines for testing with pixel electrodes for testing connected without via switching transistors(TRs). CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device is provided with plural scanning signal lines G1 to G3 which intersect with image signal lines S1, S2. Liquid crystals are held between an active matrix substrate provided with the switching TRs 1 and the pixel electrodes 2 connected to the switching TRs 1 in the intersected parts thereof in a matrix form and a counter electrode substrate. The image signal lines S1, S2 or the scanning signal lines G1 to G3 are provided with the signal lines TG1, TG2 for testing on their outer side. The signal lines TG1, TG2 for testing are provided with the pixel electrodes 3 for testing connected thereto without via the switching TRs 1. As a result, the inspection of display characteristics, etc., after completion of an assembling stage is executable independently from the characteristics of the switching TRs 1.</p>
