PURPOSE:To provide a lip height measuring device for a tool in which workability is excellent because the need for always holding the tool with the hand at the time of measurement can be dispensed with, and also by which a proper pressing force can be obtained and an accurate measurement can be carried out. CONSTITUTION:Since a V base 1 is held by a V-base stand 16 so that the end of a drill 25 is inclined downwards by a prescribed angle, for instance 20 degrees, when the drill 25 is placed on the bottom of the V block, the drill 25 slides down along the bottom, and the cutting edge of the drill 25 abuts on a stopper 4 without especially holding the drill with the hand; therefore, it is not necessary, as before, to carry out measurement while pressing the drill 25 so as to be brought into contact with the stopper 14, so that workability can be enhanced, further, as compared with the case where the drill 25 is pressed by the feeling of the hand, a proper pressing force can be obtained, and an accurate measurement can be carried out. |
