PURPOSE:To obtain a time correction equipment of a timepiece which corrects automatically the time of the timepiece having a GPS receiver incorporated and being mounted on a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Radio waves from a plurality of GPS satellites are received by a GPS unit 12 through a GPS antenna 11 and position coordinates of the point of reception are determined in an arithmetic device 14. Herein time information is contained also in the radio waves from the GPS satellites and, therefore, a difference DELTAt between the time in the GPS satellites and the time of a timepiece having a GPS receiver incorporated is determined also corresponding to computation of the coordinates. Correction of a time count value of IC 13 for the timepiece having the receiver incorporated is executed on the basis of a command from the arithmetic device 14, and the time count value of this IC 13 for the timepiece is rewritten to time data of the timepiece having the GPS receiver incorporated. |
