PURPOSE:To provide a medium processor of which the processing time is shortened by providing a storage part for storing bar code data and a control part for analyzing the number of pages of bar codes. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a black and white deciding part 21 for deciding black and white for each pixel of the bar code read by an image sensor, storage part 25 for storing data for each line based on the decided result of the black and white deciding part 21 as both the data of the longitudinal bar code data of which the bars are directed orthogonally to the reading direction of the bar code and the lateral bar code data of which the bars are directed parallelly with the reading direction of the bar code, and control part 16 for calling the lateral bar code data from the storage part 25, deciding the length orthogonal to the bar code reading direction, deciding the direction of bars from the length, calling the longitudinal bar code from the storage part 25 when the decided result shows the longitudinal direction and analyzing the number of pages shown by the bar code or analyzing the number of pages shown by the bar code when the decided result shows the lateral direction. |
