PURPOSE:To improve difficulty for extracting or erasing a vertical line part, horizontal line part and inclined part inside a specified area singly or while combining them although the features of an image such as an edge, contour line and area are conventionally extracted from the gray level image by binarization processing when extracting them. CONSTITUTION:This image processor is provided with an input part 12 for normal gray level images or color images, part 13 for turning the color image to the gradation image, part 14 for normalizing the inputted gray level image or the image turned to the gray level image for each pixel, part 15 for generating a line segment coordinate between respective pixels in the normalized gray level image, part 16 for generating a classification symbol map by preparing a classification symbol for each pixel based on the generated normalized line segment coordinate, processing part 17 for removing the classification symbol to cause noise or double line in the image from the classification symbol map, part 18 for inverse transform from the processed classification symbol map to a lateral line segment coordinate and/or longitudinal line segment coordinate, and part 19 for outputting the inversely transformed result. |
