PURPOSE:To perform high efficient operation to a large depth by discharging reaction product gas, after it is liquefied by a heat exchange with surrounding sea water, into the sea water to reduce the power for discharging the product gas. CONSTITUTION:Oxidant gas O2 vaporized in a carburetor 3 and CO2 and H2 gas produced by hydrolyzing hydrocarbon by mixing with H2O in a reformer 7 are supplied to a fuel cell main unit 1. Here, H2 gas reacts with O2 gas to generate energy, producing H2O gas. H2O gas and unreacted gas CO2 are fed to a condenser where H2O is cooled and liquefied by sea water, thereafter separated from CO2 gas in a gas-liquid separator and returned back to the reformer 7. On the other hand, CO2 gas is fed to a gas compressor 111, after pressurized, cooled by sea water and liquefied in a condenser 115, to be pressurized to a pressure higher than the sea water in the surrounding and is discharged in a liquid state into the sea by a discharge pump 116. In this way, discharge power can be markedly reduced as compared with discharging the gas in the gascous state. |
