PURPOSE:To provide the handwriting command input device for easily registering a handwriting command with the feeling of document editing while confirming the executed result of the handwriting command. CONSTITUTION:An editing processing part 6 executes editing processing to the data of an editing object corresponding to the instruction of the handwriting command recognized by a recognition part 5. At the time of registration, a registration part 8 generates data for recognition from the inputted handwritten data and stores those generated data in a dictionary data storage part 4 so that the handwriting command of user definition can be newly registered. At the time of registration, a registration interface processing part 9 displays sample data stored in a sample data storage part 7 on the display screen of a display device 3, urges a user to input data for hand writing command registration, transmits the handwritten data inputted to an input device 1 by the user to the registration part 8 and edits the sample data under displaying on the display screen of the display device 3 by using the editing processing part 6.
