PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful increase of fuel consumption by reducing a load on a vehicle and decreasing noise and exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The number of revolutions of an engine 13 is detected by an engine speed detector 20. A control computer 21 instructs a field current regulator 22 to produce a current so that a generator 14 can produce an output corresponding to the detected number of revolutions. The regulator 22 regulates the field current of the generator 14 according to the command. The output of the generator 14 is sent to induction motors 17, 18 via inverters 15, 16. On the other hand, the speed of the vehicle is detected by rotating speed detectors 17a, 17b. The computer 21 instructs the inverters 15, 16 to generate torques necessary for the motors 17, 19. The inverters 15, 16 supply power according to the command. |
