PURPOSE:To provide a developing method and a developing device for which a toner end detecting method is applied, capable of preventing the lowering of image density at low cost. CONSTITUTION:In this developing method having a toner concentration control stage for controlling the toner concentration of the developer in a developing device by detecting the toner concentration of the developer in the developing device, stirring toner 41 in a toner hopper 40 based on the detected result, and supplying the toner 41 to the developing device 14; the change of the toner concentration of the developer in the developing device occurring because toner supply quantity to the developing device 14 becomes larger than target controlled variable is used to detect toner end of the toner hopper 40. And this developing method is applied in the developing device. |
