<p>PURPOSE:To exchange one tape deck while driving the other tape deck when the one tape deck of a magnetic tape apparatus is to be exchanged. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape apparatus loading two tape decks for writing and reading of data comprises an air pressure device part 2 for supplying and discharging air to tape decks 1a and 1b under preset conditions, and orifices 3 in pipes connecting the air pressure device part 2 with the two tape decks 1a and 1b to control the flow of the air. For example, even when the tape deck 1a is removed, the change of the air pressure at the tape deck 1b is restricted to be small. The same effect is obtained even if the orifice 3 is replaced with a valve.</p> |
