PURPOSE:To start and end communication with operations fewer than before by driving an antenna linked with the operation of an operation key required at the time of the communication. CONSTITUTION:When a user pushes a send key 2D1 so as to start the communication, control signals S1 are outputted and a driving device 12 starts the operation. Thus, a pinch roller starts rotating and a whip antenna 4 is started to be pulled out. When a stopper 4C at the time of pull-out is brought into contact with a power feeding part 4D, the operation of the driving device 12 is stopped. At the time, power is supplied from the power feeding part 4D through a part 4B to be supplied with the power at the time of the pull-out to an antenna element 4A and the antenna element 4A starts the operation as a monopole antenna. Thus, the user starts the communication just by operating the send key 2D1 once and this portable radio equipment is used with the same feeling as the wired telephone of a general household. |
