USER INTERFACE FOR MANAGEMENT OF EXPANSION OF MEDIA OF DATABASE TABLE AND COMPUTER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide an inclusive and topographic map for all the table parts of a data base extending in multiplex virtual or existing storage media. CONSTITUTION: An addition table icon 22 and a deletion table icon 23 are used for selecting an operation on tree structure. In the tree structure of D:, a directory 202 and a directory 203 are connected to a root directory 201 and directories 204 and 205 show connection to the directory 202. A user can possess performance to view all files belonging to the table of the data base and to enlarge the media of the data base table and he can drag a generated table part entry from one directory position to the different position so as to drop it without being anxious of a media boundary. Since type input to a new directory path (route) is not required by the direct operation method, keyboard input is made small.
