<p>PURPOSE:To provide a technology effective for reducing the size of an acceleration sensor and the peripheral device thereof used in a vehicle or the like, and ensure the reduction of cost, the weight reduction of a vehicle and the enlargement of crew's space. CONSTITUTION:This sensor has a plumb body connected to a fixed section via a flexible section, a semiconductor resistance element laid in the flexible section for changing a resistance value, depending on the oscillation of the plumb body, an upper cap 2 for concealing the upper side of the plumb body, and a lower cap 3 for concealing the lower side thereof. In addition, at least one of the upper and lower caps 2 and 3 is provided with a collision discrimination circuit 8 for monitoring an output value from the semiconductor resistance element and discriminating the collision of a vehicle.</p> |
