<p>PURPOSE:To select whether information on a display part is erased or preserved arbitrarily and freely for each card user by writing any special character on the display part and designating the preservation area or erasure area of displayed information. CONSTITUTION:When a card is used at the first time, first time data are written on the display part by a display part writer. In this case, 'K' shows a special character 6 previously set by a card issuing person and registered on a ROM. Such a special character 6 or special symbol is used for identifying data to require erasure or display preservation each time when the card is used later and for designating partial erasure, namely, an erasure area 7. Namely, when the card to which the erasure area 7 is designated is used while keeping the state of setting the erasure area 7 and a preservation area 8, the display is changed into (b) and when the card is further used, the display is changed into (c).</p> |
