PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of adjusting the meshing of male and female helicoids over a wide range and to facilitate production. CONSTITUTION:This lens driving mechanism for a camera has a motor controlled so as to freely normally and reversely rotate and moves a photographing lens from an initial position to a focusing position by driving the motor; and it is provided with a driving member 8 actuated by driving the motor, a lens barrel 10 having one end where a helicoid screw is formed and the-other end provided with a coupling part coupling with the driving member, and a lens barrel holding member 11 where another helicoid screw meshing with the helicoid screw of the lens barrel is integrally formed. The lens barrel is partially meshed with the helicoid of the lens barrel holding member at one end, and the coupling part at the other end of the lens barrel is actuated by the driving member. |
