PURPOSE:To obtain the optical access system having a broad band characteristics equal to that of a single star interface and a scale equal to a passive double star CO (exchange station) side optical interface in the subscriber system optical communication. CONSTITUTION:An exchange 2, an array type optical transmission module 3 and an optical reception module 4 are installed in a 1st CO 1. Optical network units(ONU) of 16 sets 5-20 are interconnected by an optical fiber 22. Each ONU is provided with an optical reception module 23, an optical transmission module 24 and a subscriber interface 25 and each ONU is connected to 24 houses 21 by a coaxial cable. Four channels of 6Mb/s image signals and the telephone service of 64kb/s are served to each house. The transmission speed of the signal between the CO and each ONU is 60Mb/s in an outgoing and 1.5Mb/s in an incoming where only telephone service data are used. |
