<p>PURPOSE:To provide an X-Y direction information input device which can prolong the service life, can be miniaturized and does not cause any operational defect due to foreign materials such as trash or dust. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an operation lever 1 to be operated in any arbitrary direction, supporting part 2 for supporting the operation lever 1 so as to freely move it in arbitrary direction, case 7 for housing the supporting part 2, light emitting element 3 provided at the lower part of the operation lever 1 and interlocked with the operation of the operation lever 1, light receiving element 4 provided with plural light receiving elements inside the case 7 so as to detect the X-Y direction position of light from the light emitting element 3 and to output signal with current or voltage changed corresponding to the range irradiated with light on a light receiving plane, and output means for inputting the signal of position information, which processes the position change of light emitted from the light emitting element moving in arbitrary direction while being interlocked with the operation of the operation lever 1, to an information processor based on the output signals of the light receiving elements 4 so that the signal of X-Y direction information can be generated.</p> |
