<p>PURPOSE:To provide a sensor for the tension of a cable whereby there is no possibility of the damaging of a load cell even though some catchings are generated when the end part of the cable, etc., are passed through the cable guide of the sensor in the sensings of the tensions of an optical fiber cable, etc. CONSTITUTION:On a mounting member 16, independent of a load cell 14, a cable guide 17 comprising an L-shaped mounting guiding member 18 and three guiding rollers 19 is mounted by a supporting pin 20 in a pivotal way around the pin 20. Also, on the opposite end part of the mounting guiding member 18 to the rollers 19, a coil spring 23 is mounted in a contracting way, and the elastic force of the coil spring 23 is adjusted by an adjusting nut 22. Thereby, a sensor for the tension of a cable is so configured that the moment which is generated around the supporting pin 20 by the self-weight of the cable guide 17 is made zero. Further, the contacting part of the mounting guiding member 18 with the load cell 14 is held in the position of the same height as the center of the pin 20. Thereby, the mounting guiding member 18 is held horizontal, in the initial state that the tension of a cable is made zero.</p> |
