<p>PURPOSE:To secure the sealing quality of a grommet, by securing the clearances among the constituent wires of a wire harness, and by filling surely a sealing material into the clearances. CONSTITUTION:The shape of a first sidewall part 14 of a grommet 1 is made step-form, and it is made deformable inwards. Into this grommet 1, a wire harness 5 a cover 16 of a part of which is removed therefrom is inserted, and the grommet 1 is fixed on the wire harness 5 by tubes 6, 13 and vinyl tapes 7, etc. Thereafter, when the wire harness 5 or the tube 6 which are present on the side of the first sidewall part 14 is squeezed into the grommet 1 by a predetermined distance, the first sidewall part 14 is deformed, and respective constituent wires 10 of the wire harness 5 are brought into the state wherein they are deflected outward from the axial center of the wire harness 5 in their respective different directions from each other. In this state, a sealing material is filled into a sealant-filled part 8. Thereby, the clearances among the respective constituent wires 10 are made enough large, and as a result, the sealing quality of the grommet 1 is secured by the sure fillings of the sealing material into the clearances among the respective constituent wires 10.</p> |
