<p>PURPOSE:To form a radar image that is easy to observe, wherein the characteristics of the radar videos in an X band and in an S band are fully utilized. CONSTITUTION:The radar operations in an X band and an S band are executed at the same time. The radar video VD (X) in the X band is stored in an X-band buffer memory 8a, and the radar video VD (S) in the S band is stored in an S-band buffer memory 8b. The envelope of the video data stored in the X-band buffer memory 8a is detected with an envelope detecting circuit 21, and S/X- video selecting signal indicating the region where the envelope is present and the region where the envelope is not present are formed. An S/X-video selecting circuit 22 reads the video data of the S-band buffer memory 8b in the region where the envelope is present and reads the video data of the X-band buffer memory 8a in the region where the envelope is not present.</p> |
