CIRCUIT CONSTANT CORRECTION METHOD AND FREQUENCY CHARACTERISTICS MEASURING METHOD FOR HIGH FREQUENCY COMPONENT

PURPOSE:To match the design values of a high frequency component with the values measured after mounting on a board. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency component (e.g. a filter) is terminated with 50OMEGA and the circuit constants thereof are designed. The S parameters St are then calculated for a filter thus designed. On the other hand, S parameters are measured for a board (having dielectric constant of 1 or above) mounting the filter. The circuit constants are corrected such that St=St' is satisfied, where St' represents S parameters of the filter mounted on the board.
