PURPOSE:To simultaneously display the present positions of one's own vehicle and another vehicle by receiving the present position information of another vehicle, and generating a picture by synthesizing the present positions of ones own vehicle and another vehicle and map information. CONSTITUTION:A data communication means 13 receives the present position information and the traveling locus data of another vehicle sent from the data communication means of another designated vehicle. A control means 7 stores these data in a memory means 5. Then, the control means 7 reads the corresponding map information out of a map information storage means 1 on the basis of the present position information from a present position detecting means 3 or the memory means 5, and reads the traveling locus data out of the memory means 5, and supplies these to a plotting means 9. Further, the control means 7 reads the present position information and the traveling locus data of another vehicle out of the memory means 5, and supplies these to the plotting means 9. The plotting means 9 synthesizes the present position information and the traveling locus data of one's own vehicle and another vehicle, and generates the picture. |
