The device is designed to be mounted on a tractor, or similar agricultural vehicle, and consists of a frame made up of beams (13) which are held parallel to the ground, and beams (14) which are held perpendicular to the ground. The structure is held rigidly together by a central beam (11) parallel to the ground. The central beam carries the two mounting pivot points about which the second parallelogram frame is oscillated, under the action of a double-acting jack (3). On the lower horizontal bar (21) of this second parallelogram is mounted a platform (4) which carries the pivoting arm (42). The position of the pivoting arm is controlled by springs. It is pulled towards a rest position where the arm is perpendicular to the tractive force, pulled by the return spring (85), and a second position, where the arm forms an angle with the line of motion. At the outer end of the arm, a rotary blade (9) is mounted in a case (82).
