The present invention provides a DNA coding for caldecrin and a process for producing caldecrin by using that DNA. The present invention discloses a DNA coding for caldecrin with the specific amino acid sequences consisting of 239 amino acids shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 or 2, a DNA that hybridizes with said DNA, and a process for producing caldecrin by using a host that has been transformed by the introduction of said DNA.
