PURPOSE:To obtain a position, etc., of a chip part readily and accurately even if an image small when obtaining a position and inclination of a chip part from an image of a chip part attracted by a part mounting head of a mounting device. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a processing means 13 for reading and processing an image of a chip part imaged by a camera 3 from a image memory 12. The processing means 13 includes a corner part detection means 15 and an operation means 16. The corner part detection means 15 detects a corner part of a chip part by setting a scanning line which scans an inside of a processing window at a direction which inclines 45 deg. in the X-axial direction and Y-axial direction of a processing window and by carrying out scanning while moving the scanning line in parallel. The operation means 16 calculates a gravity center position and inclination of a chip part on the basis of corner part detection data. |
