PURPOSE:To retrieve the data within a fixed frame and a floating frame which can not be conventionally retrieved. CONSTITUTION:Data of characters, graphics and tables, etc., including a fixed frame and a floating frame is read from an external storage device 8 and the data is displayed on a CRT 4. By a KB 2 or a mouse 1, a character string to be retrieved and a retrieval area are instructed. When the instructed area is the frame area such as the fixed frame and the floating frame, the number of page where the frame area exists and the number of frame in the number of page are displayed on the CRT 4. Further, when the number of page displayed on the CRT 4 is instructed, the data within the frame existing in the instructed page is displayed on a CRT 4. |
