PURPOSE:To prevent the location deviation of an original image by fetching the original image, performing a simultaneous display of the original image and document data at the time of setting a format and visually performing a character/line pitch designation by using a square for character/line pitch designation on the screen. CONSTITUTION:The data inputted by means 1 and 2 inputting document data to be inputted in a document preparation and format information is stored in a storage means 5. By using an original image reading means 3 or an original simultaneous display means 6 obtaining already read original image from an external storage means 4 by the means 3 and displaying the original image by overlapping the original image with document data at the same time, a character pitch and a line pitch are determined and a format is set to an edition document by a format setting means 7 matching the square of a character unit with the characters and the ruled lines in the displayed original image and setting the character pitch and the line pitch on the screen. Thus, the same format as the original can be visually and efficiently set. |
