PURPOSE:To detect the degree of necessity to arouse the attention of a driver so that necessary control can be executed in accordance with the degree of necessity to arouse the attention. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the deviation in a lateral direction of one's own vehicle and the side edge of a traveling road, the behavior of one's own vehicle against a traveling lane is detected by a behavior detecting means 14. It is judged whether breakaway operation against the traveling lane is repeated or not by a breakaway operation repetition judging means 15. In the case that one's own vehicle repeats the breakaway operation against the traveling lane, it is judged that the degree of necessity to arouse the attention of the driver is high by an attention arousing necessity degree judging means 16. When the degree of necessity to arouse the attention is judged to be high, a sound volume of an alarm by an alarm device 6 is raised higher than usual time by a sound volumg correcting means 17. |
