Rain sensor esp. for automatic motor vehicle windscreen wiper control

The rain sensor includes at least two electrical potentials (V1,V2) of which one is connected to the wiper control. These are joined to one another by a resistance structure mounted on the windscreen. The resistance is changed in linear relationship to the rainfall on the screen. The resistance structure has areas of both high and low resistance and zig-zags smoothly between the potentials. It must be capable of production by thin-film technology.
