Panel component for heat=insulating cladding on board ship

The panel component is for heat-insulating cladding of curved or angled walls of interior spaces on board ship, esp. refrigerator chamber walls. It comprises an insulating material arranged between outer plate covers with a strip-shaped inlay of elastically deformable material. The one plate cover (2) on the inside of the chamber is seamless in the area of the elastic inlay (5) and the other plate cover (3) on the outside of the chamber is pliable in its plane in the area of the elastic inlay. Under the plate cover on the inside of the chamber a mechanically fixed base (6) is provided, which in the area of the elastic inlay is interrupted in the longitudinal direction of the inlay. The edges of the interrupted base are spaced apart.
