The suspension transverse link (3) is constructed as the lower wheel guide member and the longitudinal leaf spring arrangement (4) as the upper. The wheel carrier (2) has an extension arm (8) extending in swan neck fashion over the wheel (1) and in the wheel plane, and is connected transversely rigid to the longitudinal leaf spring arrangement by a ball and socket joint (9). Both ends of the spring arrangement are connected transversely rigid to the vehicle structure (7). Pivoting of one end is affected by a clevis (10) which swivels in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
