Electronic control arrangement for commutator motor

A circuit arrangement for the power circuit of a pulse-width modulator (PWM) for control of a commutator motor revs, includes a rectifier and a semiconductor switch and the circuit is designed so that the mains connected capacitor is not charged during mains shorting and in which no resistance is connected in series with the capacitor so as to avoid strong heating up of the electrolytic capacitor (2), the latter now being constantly in series with the motor both during charging as well during discharging, with the capacitor current constantly flowing in the same direction across the motor.
