Automatic switching device for car headlamps and flashers

A device for switching on and off the headlamps and warning flashers of a car has a speed sensor connected with the speedometer shaft. The signals are evaluated by a microprocessor (mpu) to detect any speed change. There are switches (tsw,ssw) to feed time and speed thresholds to the microprocessor. The microprocessor output signal drives a relay (r1) for the headlamps and flashers. When the car is braked or stationary, the relay switches the headlamps off whereas the flashers are then switched on. When the car drives on, the flashers are switched off and the headlamps automatically re-switched on.
